April 2003, McClelland Air Force Base (Now McClelland Park) Below are photos of Multiplex Cargo painted in the CDF Paint scheme (for the most part). While no B-17s are in use by CDF, if there were, they would look very much like the model below. The big difference in the paint schemes(unknown to the builder at the time) is that 3 of CDF's newest paint jobs have black horizontal paint on the engine nacelles. Actually, as can be seen in the photos here, CDF has been experimenting with various paint jobs. As a bystander, it seems that no three airtankers have the same paint job. Each paint job has a bit of variation leading to difficulties in painting replicas and models. The real tanker 74 was in Southern California at the time of photo shoot, so we shot next to "Tanker 86" which has the newest paint job. The letters "CDF" still have to be added to the nose of 86.
