MWE 2007 Day 1
Richard Carlton
05/19/2007
Ok, well day one is in the books. It was a typical semi slow Friday. The vendors and hard core flyers arrived. The weekend crowd will be full force tomorrow. The high light of the day was the 26lbs F-15 Eagle. Kick butt!!! It has 21 lbs of thrust, retracts, and brakes!!! (it needed them). High speed passes rocked. So...Glider timing event went better this year with NO midair collisions. Airfoilz Pilot Woody King got his legs under him... and fixing the expo on his radio. Real nice guy!! Mega Motors had Cody KaNudson (another great guy) was busy flying F3A Pattern with his HUGE Ugle Sticks. The foamy guys did their thing as usual. Once one major crash...looked like a zero! Lots of vendor and fun. Please note...MOST of the photos were shot by Alex Carlton (8 years old) who was also a pilot at MWE. Pedro flew his fixed F3A pattern ship. The 102 inch Yak was busted yesterday...so we probably won't get to see that.
